  • Course Description:

    This course introduces the following topics: Methods of specimen collection, types of light microscopy and related instruments, processing of animal tissues including fixation and fixatives, Microtomy and paraffin sections, frozen sections, theory of staining and staining techniques, types of microscopically preparations, introductory histochemistry, and museum demonstration techniques.

     

  • Course Main Objective:

    The course aims to:

    • 1-Introduce the basic theoretical and practical techniques of Histology, as well as histological major applications such as: whole mount preparations and tissues preservation.
    • 2- Introducing concepts of Histochemistry, Taxidermy and sample arrangement in Museum and their application
