- Course Description:
This course is an introduction to pest control strategies. It includes topics of insect pests and economic importance, survival factors of insects, factors that affect insect lifecycle, general methods of insect pests control, natural, applied, microbial and chemical control, the resistance of insect to insecticides, some recent advances in pest control.
- Course Main Objective:
The main goal of this course is to provide a better understanding to the students about insect pest control practices and to provide an understanding of ecological interactions among host, pests and their chemical and natural enemies and to breach the illusionary gap between applied and basic research.
